The result of Nikol Pashinyan’s party “Civil Contract” in the elections in Armenia fell to 55.61% after processing more than 75% of the polling stations, according to the CEC data. The second place is still occupied by the bloc of ex-President Robert Kocharian ” Armenia”, which gains 20.01%.
Earlier, Pashinyan’s party won 58.02% of the vote in the early parliamentary elections, which is more than the 54% barrier that allows forming a government, according to the CEC data after processing ballots from 1,050 out of 2,008 polling stations. The bloc of former President Robert Kocharian had 18.75% of the vote.
Voting in the early elections to the National Assembly has ended in Armenia. At 20:00 (19:00 Moscow time), 2008 polling stations closed. According to the latest data, at 16:00 on Sunday, June 20, 989,972 people voted-38.17% of voters. The final data on the turnout will be known later.
The preliminary results of the elections are to be announced on Monday, June 21. The final ones are only on the seventh day from the voting day.
