The head of CENTCOM, General Kenneth Mackenzie, said that at least 2,000 terrorists of the Islamic State organization banned in Russia are “now roaming” in Afghanistan. They are attributed to the terrorist attacks at the Kabul airport.
The last C – 17A Globemaster III military transport aircraft of the US Air Force left the Kabul airport one minute before the onset of August 31 (Afghanistan time), this was the deadline for the foreign military presence in the country.
There were no US citizens on the last evacuation plane, not counting the military. At the moment, about 250 Americans remain on the territory of Afghanistan, McKenzie said.
During the evacuation from Afghanistan, 122 thousand people were taken out through the Kabul airport, including more than 5,400 US citizens. This is indicated by the Petagon data.
