According to the author, the summit of US and Russian presidents Joe Biden and Vladimir Putin in Geneva on June 16 will not affect the established positions of Moscow and Beijing in relation to Washington, that is, the Russian Federation and China hold mutual views on the position and influence of the United States on the world stage. He is sure that these countries have no motives to change their position and attitude to the White House.
Ryun noted that from the point of view of the United States, it is necessary to understand how and where Russian-Chinese relations are strengthening in order to see “cracks” in them.
At the same time, Moscow and Beijing continue to strengthen the already existing broad partnership. Chinese leader Xi Jinping called Vladimir Putin “his best friend”, after which the two governments agreed that the current state of relations between Russia and China is “the best in history”.
As stated by the Russian Ambassador to China Andrey Denisov, if the United States raises the topic of China in Geneva, Moscow will notify Beijing about it. He guaranteed that regardless of Washington’s position, Russian-Chinese relations will not change. In addition, he announced the visit of Vladimir Putin to China.
