A member of the LDPR Supreme Council, State Duma deputy Anton Morozov denied a report by RBC, citing sources that deputy Igor Lebedev, whom the media call the son of the head of the LDPR Vladimir Zhirinovsky, decided to leave politics and refused to be elected because of a quarrel with his father about appointments in the party and its development.
Morozov confirmed that Lebedev had previously spoken about his desire to leave politics.
“I don’t think that this is caused by some mythical conflict that journalists and our political opponents are trying to invent,” Morozov said.
He added that Lebedev is a creative, independent person and probably made this decision to continue his activities in another field.
