The Prosecutor General of the Czech Republic, Pavel Zeman, announced that he was resigning. He announced his decision earlier, citing disagreements with the head of the Ministry of Justice Maria Beneshova. Officials did not agree with the case of the explosions in Vrbetice.

Recall that Prague in April accused the Russian special services of involvement in the explosion at military warehouses in Vrebitz in 2014 and expelled 18 employees of the Russian embassy from the country. In Moscow, in turn, 20 employees of the Czech diplomatic mission were declared persona non grata, saying that all the accusations are absurd and far-fetched.

In the Kremlin, these accusations against the Russian Federation caused extreme damage to the relations developing between the two countries, and also indicated that the unsubstantiated accusations are part of a large-scale campaign by the West against Moscow.
