Former DPR Defense Minister Igor Strelkov said that if Ukraine carries out a real attack on Donbass using Javelin, the self-proclaimed republics of the DPR and LPR will be destroyed as soon as possible. According to him, only Russia can prevent this by providing full-scale assistance.
The Kremlin’s “dear partners” demonstrate their readiness to use the full range of forces and means,” Strelkov said in an interview with the NSN Radio channel, commenting on the statement by the head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kirill Budanov that the military first used the American Javelin anti-tank missile system during the fighting in the Donbass.
According to Strelkov, the Kremlin was warned that when ( and not if) they go on the offensive, it is better for Moscow not to interfere, since they have such weapons.
“This is an infantry field weapon, highly accurate and powerful, but there are no separate means against it,” Strelkov explained.
According to him, it is necessary to act against Javelin complexes with all available forces and means that only the Russian armed forces have.
“At the same time, in the event of an attack by Ukrainian troops without full-scale rapid assistance from Russia, the DPR and LPR will be destroyed as soon as possible,” Strelkov stressed.
