Yavlinsky refused to run for the State Duma

The head of the federal political committee of Yabloko, Grigory Yavlinsky, announced the decision not to run for State Duma deputies from the party in the September elections.

The party reported that the politician will nevertheless ” take an active part in the election campaign.”

During the pre-election congress of Yabloko, Yavlinsky said that the federal part of the party’s list for the elections may consist of one person – it is planned to nominate chairman Nikolai Rybakov.

The CEC earlier announced that the parliamentary elections on a single voting day will be held for three days – from September 17 to 19. According to the law, parties must approve the lists of their candidates at face-to-face congresses within 25 days after the publication of the presidential decree on the appointment of elections.
