The deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from the party “Opposition Platform-For Life” Ilya Kiva jokingly said in social networks that the president of Ukraine was stolen and replaced with a double. As proof, he attached a video recording of 2014 to his Telegram post. Back then, showman Vladimir Zelensky said that Russia and Ukraine are fraternal peoples and noted that he personally knows thousands of wonderful people living in Russia.
At the same time, after being elected president, he repeatedly made Russophobic decisions. One of the latest is the law “On Indigenous Peoples of Ukraine”approved by the Verkhovna Rada. Russians were not included in the general list, while the indigenous peoples of the Crimea – Karaites, Krymchaks and Crimean Tatars were included in it.
People’s Deputy Ilya Kiva is known for his unconventional actions. At the end of June, he appeared on the video in a hat with earflaps with Soviet symbols and noted that the red star is a symbol of the common victory of Ukrainians and Russians over fascism.
