Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi said that she had discussed with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov a possible upcoming visit to Indonesia by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“During the talks, we discussed a possible upcoming visit of Vladimir Putin to Indonesia,” Marsudi said.
Recall that the visit of the President of the Russian Federation to Jakarta was planned for 2020, but did not take place due to the coronavirus pandemic. It was assumed that the presidents would sign a declaration on strategic partnership.
Earlier, Sergey Lavrov reported that he and his colleague are “finalizing the declaration on strategic partnership” between the countries, which will be signed later by the heads of state.
