Sources of the Axios publication reported that the host of the American Fox News channel Tucker Carlson complained about surveillance after trying to arrange an interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

It is specified that the journalist spoke with “Kremlin intermediaries located in America about organizing an interview with Vladimir Putin” shortly before he accused the American National Security Agency of surveillance.

Sources said that US officials learned about Carlson’s attempt to conduct an interview with the Russian president. Carlson, in turn, realized that the authorities knew about his contacts, and used this argument to accuse him of surveillance.
