The government of North Ossetia stated that representatives of the deployed military enlistment office at the checkpoint “Upper Lars” on the border with Georgia from this moment will begin to issue summonses to those mobilized from any regions. Earlier, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the region stated that subpoenas are issued only to those registered in this republic.
In a statement, the press service said that the task of “operational groups”, consisting of employees of military enlistment offices and representatives of executive authorities, includes the distribution of subpoenas “in accordance with the lists of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation”.
The head of the region, Sergei Menyailo, stressed that this would apply to both local citizens and those who are on military registration in other regions of the country.”.
Menyailo also said that he had instructed to organize temporary heating and food points, the Ministry of Health was instructed to send ambulance crews, carry out sanitation of the territory and install garbage containers.
In addition, the authorities of the region stated that they could restrict entry to North Ossetia by cars for citizens without a local residence permit. The reason is the congestion of transit transport.
