Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky should find a way to outsmart Russia, ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Vilen Martirosyan believes.

On the air of the Nash channel, he noted that the current Ukrainian leader must necessarily find a common language with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

Martirosyan also called on Zelensky to listen to the position of American President Joe Biden, who is gradually improving relations with Putin. In this regard, the general of the Armed Forces of Ukraine proposes to make the President of Russia “work for Ukraine”. When Russia helps to restore Ukraine, the republic should become independent from any major players, while maintaining friendly relations with all.

But here everything depends on Zelensky’s steps. “To make it so that he sometimes with his cunning, especially, our president is cunning, so that he on the contrary outplayed Putin, in order to save Ukraine at all costs,” Martirosyan explained.

Earlier, former Ukrainian President Leonid Kravchuk, who now heads the Kiev delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group on the Donbas, gave advice to the current head of state Vladimir Zelensky before talks with US President Joe Biden. It is scheduled to take place in Washington at the end of July. According to him, the Ukrainian leader must be ” firm, consistent, systematic.”
