First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation on Mass Media Alexander Malkevich took the initiative to ban the use of the WhatsApp messenger by Russian officials. He recommended that they switch to Telegram.

“I urge to force all officials to finally switch from WhatsApp to Telegram. This messenger has proven itself well. It has channels for all authorities, it is in demand by journalists and ordinary users. Telegram is easy to use, and perfectly protected, there were no cases of personal data leaks, ” Malkevich said in an interview with the publication.

He noted that WhatsApp periodically tightens the rules and ” appropriates the right to dispose of personal data.” But despite all the disadvantages, it remains a popular messenger among parliamentarians.

“Officials often call each other and send documents, including tender and financial documents, to WhatsApp. I admit that at the level of departmental orders, it is possible to prohibit officials from using WhatsApp, ” Malkevich added.

Photo: Frame from the video

US President Joe Biden made a few minor mistakes during his press conference following the summit with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, which nevertheless did not escape the attention of journalists and millions of TV viewers.

Answering one of the questions, Biden misspoke, and called Putin Donald Trump.

“I captured part of President Trump’s press conference… Putin. And he said…” Biden said.

Also at some point, he took off his jacket and dropped it. Before picking up the fallen item of clothing, the American leader slowly put on his sunglasses (by the way, he brought Putin aviator glasses and a bison figurine as a gift), slowly bent down and picked up his jacket.

Earlier, opponents of the 46th US president repeatedly ridiculed his alleged problems with cognitive functions and the musculoskeletal system. So, Biden was scolded for allowing himself to stumble on the plane’s ramp, as well as for often using cheat sheets. He also brought one of these to meet withPutin today. Putin himself, as it might seem, also hinted that his current interlocutor is a man of venerable age. At his press conference, the Russian leader said that his American counterpart is ” an experienced person.”
