The cargo, which could have been used to blow up the Crimean Bridge, arrived on the territory of Russia from Georgia on October 4, Baza reports.

The cargo, which at the time of the explosion was in the car of 51-year-old driver Mahir Yusubov, drove across the border of the Russian Federation at about 6 a.m. on October 4. Neither the customs nor other inspection services found anything suspicious in the transported goods. Then the cargo was redirected to Armavir, and on October 7, Yusubov took his order towards Simferopol.

Now the FSB is finding out why the responsible services did not find the explosives. There is also a check on the corruption component.

Earlier, Georgia was mentioned among the states through which the truck passed – Bulgaria, Georgia and Armenia. Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin reported this to Russian President Vladimir Putin. “There is no doubt, this is a terrorist attack aimed at destroying the critically important civilian infrastructure,” the head of state said during the meeting. “The authors, customers, performers are the special services of Ukraine,” he stressed.
