The press service of the Foreign Office issued a statement announcing plans by British Foreign Minister Liz Truss to call on NATO countries to actively provide Ukraine with weapons according to the Alliance standard, while simultaneously introducing new sanctions against Russia.
“To help Ukraine, we must go further and faster. The best long-term security of Ukraine will be provided if it can protect itself,” Truss believes.
In addition, the British Foreign Minister, during a meeting on Thursday with representatives of Germany, Italy, Canada, the United States, France and Japan, called on the G-7 countries to commit to the adoption of new sanctions against Russia.
