The British media are actively discussing the signing by Russian President Vladimir Putin of a decree on the introduction of martial law in the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions of martial law. At the same time, some authors even admit Russia’s nuclear tests in the Black Sea as a demonstration of will and capabilities.
In particular, the newspaper wrote about the possibility of Russia demonstrating force by a nuclear explosion over the Black Sea Daily Mail.
“There is an opinion that the Russian president is preparing a nuclear demonstration of force over the Black Sea — the first open-air nuclear explosion since the 60s,” the article notes.
The publication recalls that the British authorities warned earlier that the use of nuclear weapons would lead to serious consequences.
On the eve of the deputy head of the Russian delegation at a meeting of the First Committee of the UN General Assembly Konstantin Vorontsov said that Russia under the Budapest Memorandum committed not to use nuclear weapons and not to threaten their use against non-nuclear states. “This obligation is invariably fulfilled in full,” Vorontsov said, adding that “Russia Ukraine has not been threatened with nuclear weapons and does not threaten.” At the same time, he expressed concern about Kiev’s statements about the possibility of revising the nuclear-free status of Ukraine.
