According to Bulgarian President Rumen Radev, Ukraine should not be accepted into NATO until Kiev and Moscow work out clear provisions for the settlement of the military conflict. This is reported by BNR with reference to the press service of the presidential administration.
As specified, Radev does not fully support the statement of the nine member states of the alliance on Ukraine’s entry into the military bloc. The Bulgarian leader supported several positions expressed in the document.
“Bulgaria signed a declaration at the NATO summit in Bucharest in 2008 on the future accession of Ukraine to the alliance, but this declaration was adopted in very different security conditions,” the message emphasizes.
