The Czech Republic expects that Europe will not purchase Russian gas through a “gas hub” in Turkey, Czech Industry and Trade Minister Jozef Sikela said in an interview with the Turkish newspaper Dünya. He believes that there is a serious discussion in Europe about gas and oil supplies and that imports from Russia have become a problem.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that the Russian side could move gas transit from the “Northern Streams” to the Black Sea region and Turkey. The Russian head of state discussed this idea with his Turkish counterpart Recep Erdogan. They agreed to work out this proposal in detail and quickly.
According to the Czech minister, in Europe, imports from Russia are considered a serious problem and blame the high prices of Russian fuel.
Moscow has repeatedly stressed earlier that the increase in oil and gas prices was the result of the short-sighted policy of Western countries.
