Turkish President Recep Erdogan said that he does not intend to break off relations with his colleagues from Russia and Ukraine, Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky, despite the Russian special operation.
He added that Ankara pursues a balanced policy in relations with Moscow and Kiev. He added that he expects to continue holding telephone talks with Putin.
Earlier, CNN reported that Turkey could be excluded from NATO. So, the observer calls Erdogan a “useful friend” for his Russian counterpart. The journalist believes that Putin has enough allies around the world not to let Western blocs interfere with his ambitions.
Before that, Erdogan said that he would not agree with the membership of Sweden and Finland in the North Atlantic Alliance, since these countries actively support the Kurdistan Workers’ Party banned in Turkey.
