Information appeared on the website of the Japanese Foreign Ministry, according to which the country’s Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and the head of the European Council Charles Michel agreed that anti-Russian sanctions should be maintained.
It is clarified that Michel took part in the state funeral ceremony of former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
“During the negotiations, Kishida and Michel made a decision, according to which it is extremely important at the moment to preserve the unity of the G7 and tough sanctions against Russia. Among other things, it was decided to support Ukraine,” the Japanese Foreign Ministry added.
