The partial mobilization of 300,000 reserve troops will certainly affect the situation in the special operation zone, but it will not happen tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. This was stated by the deputy of the State Duma, Lieutenant General in reserve Andrey Gurulev. He posted the text of the speech on his Telegram channel.
“It’s time to move away from battalion tactical groups, … it’s time to assemble and work with regiments, brigades, divisions, full-blooded armies. It will not happen at once, but during October, I assume we will come to this,” Gurulev said on the air of the program “Saturday Evening with Vladimir Solovyov.”
The general explained when to expect the effect of mobilization: “Newly formed units need a month to prepare. 300 thousand people is the number that today we can dress, put on shoes, provide a matbaz for training. By November 1, we will receive the formed units, but in order to send the regiment to the front”,
At the same time, according to him, it will take 20-25 days to send parts, for example, from Chita.
“All these forces will be concentrated at the front by December 1, if we look optimistically. We will succeed only in 2 months,” the general said.
In the meantime, he noted, the troops need to go into “strategic defense, specifically dig in, dig in with the involvement of all engineering equipment, including civilian: excavators, bulldozers.”
“We need to make several lines so that we can defend normally, and not like on Balakleya – there was one line. It is necessary to gather all the units in a heap so that the army has its divisions, so that they are full-blooded. We need to accumulate weapons, industry also has limits. It is necessary to conduct a strategic operation to defeat critical objects, this is a prerequisite. From November 1, this action will have maximum effectiveness,” Gurulev said.
He did not rule out new waves of mobilization.
He gave advice on how to change the management system in the special operation zone: “There should be clear not groupings, but fronts, where the commander will have full power and decisions in his area of responsibility. The interaction between the fronts is carried out by the General Staff. Unfortunately, today the system is malfunctioning, it is irrelevant.”
“It is also my deep conviction that if someone failed, it is clear that the mouse died in the warehouses, then the person responsible for this should not go to another job, but appear before a military tribunal,” the deputy said.
