The head of the office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Ermak said in social networks that at the next meeting of NATO defense ministers “Ramstein” a decision will be made to close the skies over the republic.
Therefore, Ermak called the summit historic, and stressed that he is in constant contact with the US President’s national security adviser Jake Sullivan.
Apparently, Ermak does not quite understand what is being discussed. The term “closed sky” means the creation of a no-fly zone over the country. This actually means the promise of a third party to the conflict to shoot down all aircraft that violate this regime.
“Strengthening the air defense system of Ukraine is what we need. We are in constant dialogue with our allies. It was the modern air defense systems for Kiev that were the topic of our last conversations with Sullivan,” Andrei Ermak wrote.
Most likely, he was promised to install new air defense systems. It is known that the next “Ramstein” will take place this week, but the exact date has not yet been determined.
It was the new systems that NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg spoke about in his last speech. He promised to focus on Kiev’s air defense supplies.
