Adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Alexey Arestovich said that Kiev will attack the Donbass only if Moscow attacks Ukraine. He spoke about this on August 30, on Monday.
According to him, there should be extraordinary conditions.
“We will go, if the Russians attack us, they will leave us no choice. Then we will go to war and even go on a counteroffensive, ” the representative of the state said on the air of “Ukraine 24”.
The situation with the attack on the Donbass is fraught with the death of civilians, Arestovich said. He pointed out that mostly Ukrainians live there. Kiev will not take such a step until the last, the adviser claims.
Arestovich said that a political and diplomatic settlement is being planned simultaneously with the pumping of the defense sector.
