Kadyrov has officially put forward his candidacy for the election of the head of Chechnya

The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, has officially nominated a candidate for the election of the head of the republic. This was reported by the election commission of the region. In June, Kadyrov’s candidacy for the post of head of the republic was put forward by United Russia.

“Today, on July 6, the current head of the Chechen Republic, Hero of Russia Ramzan Akhmatovich Kadyrov, was nominated for the election of the head of the Chechen Republic, scheduled for September 19, 2021,” the election commission reported.

The deadline for nominating candidates for the post of head of Chechnya ends on July 8. Documents for registration with the electoral commission must be submitted no later than 18:00 on this day.

On June 23, Vladimir Putin, during an online meeting with Ramzan Kadyrov, suggested that he go to the elections of the head of the republic. On the same day, the World Congress of the Peoples of Chechnya adopted a declaration calling on the current head to nominate his candidacy.
