Yakov Kedmi, a veteran of the Israeli special services, said in Vladimir Solovyov’s studio that he did not consider the AFU operation carried out in recent days to be a counteroffensive or even a local counterattack.

“It was practically an operation in order to create the appearance of some kind of counterattack,” Kedmi said, adding that this was done in order to “balance the constant failures of the APU and ask for more weapons.””. At the same time, Kedmi stressed, with the filing of the Americans and the British, thousands of Ukrainians were thrown into the furnace.

The expert also explained why he believes that there will be no new counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to him, for this, the Ukrainian army needs tanks, armored personnel carriers, aviation and self-propelled artillery”, and Kiev has no tank forces, as well as plenty of artillery, which was destroyed in the Kharkiv region.

“That is why hysterical demands to the USA and the EU are so loud in Kiev,” Kedmi continued, adding that the president of Ukraine demands tanks from the West because he understands that there is no offensive without tanks.

Kedmi also called the decision of the AFU command to throw soldiers on breakthroughs “an adventure&”because the generals sacrificed a huge number of soldiers, although they understood that in the future the army would not have the strength to use these breakthroughs.

“From a military point of view, all their dubious successes have no further prospects,” Kedmi believes. The expert also noted that now Ukraine needs to create at least a similar grouping in order to launch a new offensive.
