A Ukrainian diplomat really participated in the scandalous accident in Vienna. This fact was confirmed by the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleg Nikolenko.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is investigating all the circumstances of a traffic accident that occurred in Austria involving the car of a Ukrainian military attache,” he said. Nikolenko added that the embassy cooperates with the Austrian police. The identities of two more participants in the accident were not disclosed.
Earlier it was reported that in the Austrian capital, a car carrying three Ukrainian diplomats crashed into a car with four German tourists at full speed.
Drunk officials tried to escape from the scene, but were detained. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine promised to take certain steps after the investigation of the incident. The Austrian media insist on depriving the perpetrators of the accident of diplomatic immunity.
