Former Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and current Brazilian leader Jair Bolsonaro were in the second round of the presidential election, which took place on October 30. This is evidenced by the results of processing 99.99% of the electronic ballot box protocols posted on the website of the Supreme Electoral Court of the country (VIS, performs the functions of the CEC) as a result of the first round of elections held on October 2.
So the leader of the Workers’ Party, Lula da Silva, receives 48.42% of the vote. 57.2 million people voted for his candidacy. Bolsonaro won the support of 43.2% of the votes, 51 million people voted for him. Another 7% of the votes were divided between centrist Simoni Tebet and socialist Siru Gomez. 5.5% of voters chose the count against all orannulled their vote. According to VIS, out of more than 156 million registered voters, more than 32.7 million people did not come to the polling stations, the turnout reached 79%.
In addition to the head of state, on October 2, Brazilians elected state governors, a third of senators, deputies of the federal parliament and regional legislative assemblies.
