German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said that the US and Germany are still negotiating the Nord Stream 2. The first results may be available by August.
In an interview published in a number of European newspapers, including Germany’s Die Welt, he said that important progress could be made. In particular, German companies and individuals were removed from the sanctions imposed by the United States.
At the moment, negotiations are continuing. Recently, a German delegation was in Washington. So far, the content of the negotiations between the two countries on the “Nord Stream-2” has not been disclosed.
Meanwhile, the US authorities announced that they will continue to impose new sanctions against Russian companies that participate in the Nord Stream-2 project. In addition, Washington is preparing a new package of sanctions on the situation with Alexei Navalny.
