“The decision not to reject them immediately as a bluff is by no means a sign of weakness!,” Merkel is quoted by Süddeutsche Zeitung.
This is a sign of political wisdom, the ex-chancellor added.
In a speech on September 21 dedicated to mobilization, Putin said that a number of NATO representatives do not rule out the possibility of using nuclear weapons against Russia. He recalled that Moscow “also has various means of destruction” and if there is a threat to the territorial integrity of our country” they will, “absolutely”,”all the means at our disposal have been used, this is not a bluff.”
On Tuesday, September 27, former President and Prime Minister, Deputy head of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev shared his arguments about nuclear weapons on the social network. He, in particular, expressed the opinion that the West “will swallow the use of any weapon in the current conflict”.
