The simplified procedure for labeling medicines has been extended until February 1, 2022. This is reported by the press service of the Russian government.

The corresponding resolution was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin on July 1. The government’s press service said in a statement that the simplified procedure for labeling and tracing medicines is being extended for seven months.

The government cites the difficult epidemiological situation that contributes to the increased demand for medicines as the reason for making such a decision.

Recipients of batches of medicines should not be inconvenienced by errors or delays caused by suppliers. The simplified labeling procedure will avoid such incidents and increase the speed of drug deliveries to pharmacies and their sale to the population.

At the same time, from July 1, 2021, the simplified procedure for labeling medicines no longer applies to imported medicines.
