More than 60 percent of German residents are dissatisfied with the work of the Chancellor and the government. This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by the INSA Sociological Institute. At the same time, if the elections were held now, Scholz would take only third place in them.
More than a thousand respondents took part in the survey. Only 25% of them supported the current chancellor. Since March, the rating has fallen twice. At that time, 46% of Germans supported Scholz.
The election would also bring a lot of surprises to the current chancellor. So 25% of Germans would vote for Vice-Chancellor, Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection Robert Habeck. He is followed by the chairman of the opposition Christian Democratic Union Friedrich Merz. He would have received 19% of the vote. The current chancellor would be in third place with 18% of the vote. The elections in the federal state of Lower Saxony will be crucial for Scholz. They are scheduled for October 9.
