The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, interrupted his visit to the Czech Republic, although he was supposed to stay in the country for three days, reports Deník N.
The trip of the Emir of Qatar was organized at the invitation of Czech President Milos Zeman. Al Thani stayed in the republic for less than one day.
According to the publication, during his stay in the Czech Republic, the emir made demands that the Czech side could not satisfy. At the same time, on October 7, Al Thani was supposed to attend an informal meeting with the leaders of the EU member states.
However, it turned out that he left the Czech Republic on the evening of October 5. Thus ended the first visit of the Emir of Qatar to Prague in the history of Czech-Qatari relations.
