The Armenian Electoral Code allows Nikol Pashinyan’s “Civil Contract” to single-handedly form the government of the republic. With a high degree of probability, Nikol Pashinyan will be re-appointed to the post of Prime Minister.
To form a government, 54% of the seats in the parliament must belong to one bloc or party. “Civil Contract” won 53.92% of the vote. In addition to this party, only Robert Kocharian’s “Armenia” alliance – 21.04% – was elected to the parliament.
Nikol Pashinyan has already announced the victory of his party. Kocharian’s supporters note that they have no complaints about the purity of the elections.
