The party of the acting Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan “Civil Contract” became the leader in the results of electronic voting in the parliamentary elections. She received 163 votes. At the same time, the “Armenia” bloc of former President Robert Kocharian has 135 votes.
As the head of the Central Election Commission Tigran Mukuchyan said at the CEC meeting, 500 people out of 650 included in the list took part in the electronic voting held from June 11 to 13. As a result, 163 people voted for the Civil Contract party, and 135 for the Armenia bloc.
In total, Armenian diplomats abroad took part in the electronic voting. The military, the country’s representatives in international organizations and their family members also voted.
Meanwhile, early parliamentary elections have ended in Armenia. According to preliminary estimates, the final turnout was 49.4% of 1 million 281 thousand 174 voters. Voting was conducted only on the territory of the country, there is no threshold for turnout in these elections. The pass barrier for parties is 5%, blocks-7%.
