The press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov spoke about the non-fall of the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev in the top five of the federal list of “United Russia”. Peskov noted that the choice of new faces in the top five is due to their authority and the need for staff rotation.
The EP list was headed by Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, co-chairman of the ONF Elena Shmeleva, doctor Denis Protsenko, and Children’s Rights Commissioner Anna Kuznetsova.
“And this absolutely does not mean any low assessment of the party work of the mentioned persons. The party is in motion, it is constantly updated. And as far as we understand, it gets support », & mdash; said Peskov.
In addition to Medvedev, the list of candidates also did not include Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin and State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin.
The State Duma elections will be held on September 19.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has previously stressed that he discussed with Medvedev and other leaders of the “United Russia” candidates for the elections. The federal list of United Russia should be headed by the most worthy people. These candidates are our joint proposal with Vladimir Putin, ” Medvedev commented.
