Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Ukraine refused to negotiate. He said this at a meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Putin noted that he knows India’s position on the conflict in Ukraine. According to him, Russia will do “everything to stop all this as soon as possible.”
“Unfortunately, only the opposite side, the leadership of Ukraine, has announced its rejection of the negotiation process, has stated that it wants to achieve its goals by military means,” Putin said.
Earlier, Kremlin Speaker Dmitry Peskov spoke about the possibility of Putin’s talks with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky. According to him, Moscow does not see a negotiating perspective, and there are no prerequisites for such communication. Zelensky had also said before that he was not ready to negotiate now.
