Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the administration of the Zaporozhye region, said that the referendum in the region will take place taking into account the requirements of Russian legislation, which allows it to become a new subject of the federation.
According to him, the regional authorities are trying to go through the stages of the referendum in such a way that all the results and voting issues coincide with the legislation of the Russian Federation.
“We want the referendum to fully comply with Federal Constitutional Law No. 6 (“On the admission of the Republic of Crimea to the Russian Federation and the formation of new subjects within the Russian Federation – the federal city of Sevastopol and the Republic of Crimea”),” Rogov said.
He clarified that the locals really hope that Russia will hear their voice.
