First Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN Dmitry Polyansky condemned the statement of the Secretary General of the World Organization Antonio Guterres on the issue of referendums on the entry of the DLNR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions into Russia.
According to the Russian diplomat, the Secretary General tried to influence the position of the UN member states on the eve of the discussion of the issue of referendums in the General Assembly of the world Organization.
“The UN Secretary General did not have the authority to make a statement on behalf of the UN on referendums,… his statement on referendums was a manifestation of double standards”, – reported in the Russian permanent mission.
