Germany has crossed a red line that it should not have crossed, Russian Ambassador to Germany Sergey Nechaev said in an interview with Izvestia.
He called it such a step to supply Kiev with lethal weapons of its own production.
“Including taking into account the moral and historical responsibility of Germany to our people for the crimes of Nazism during the Great Patriotic War,” the diplomat told the publication.
Earlier, former Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl said that the energy crisis in Europe began a long time ago, and the market itself is “skewed.” So, the crisis began around April 2021 and was provoked by the EU authorities. She recalled that after April 2021, electricity prices increased by 30-40%, and now the growth reaches 400%.
According to her, about 18 years ago, the European market went towards renewable energy, but remained very dependent on gas. Now it works “according to some incomprehensible principles”, not being a classical market of supply and demand.
