German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that he has not yet thought about when Russian President Vladimir Putin will be able to visit Germany. He made such a statement during a press conference in Berlin.
“I haven’t thought at all about the question of when Putin will be in Germany again,” Scholz said.
At the same time, he stressed that the Russian president will be able to visit Germany again only if the end of the special military operation in Ukraine.
Scholz also stressed that we cannot talk about a “peace imposed by Russia.” And this, according to him, cannot and will not happen.
The head of the German government was skeptical about the possibility of mediation by former German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder in relations with Russia. When asked if he could imagine such a thing, he replied, “I do not know.”
