A member of the Federation Council, former governor of the Lipetsk region Oleg Korolev wrote a letter of resignation. This is reported by RIA “Novosti” with reference to its own source.
Earlier, a video appeared in the media, in which, presumably, the car driven by the senator moves along the road with flat wheels, periodically driving into the dividing strip, and then knocks down a road sign. Korolev said that he was really driving, but the reason for the traffic violation was not alcohol intoxication, as suggested by the authors of a number of Telegram channels, but arrhythmia and increased blood pressure.
The ex-governor has already stated that he decided to suspend his membership in United Russia.
