According to the Washington Post, citing internal documents of the North Atlantic Alliance, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Poland have asked NATO to deploy more forces on their territory.
This request was made because of the allegedly increased threat from Russia.
“The Baltic states and Poland require a significant expansion of the military presence on their territory,… that will make it difficult for Russia to potentially invade,” the report says.
However, according to the newspaper, there is no agreement on this issue among the NATO member countries.
