Pink Floyd co-founder Roger Waters, in an interview with RT, called the “Patriotic Act” adopted in the United States in 2001 with the participation of the current US President Joe Biden a crime.
This document significantly expanded the powers of the special services and law enforcement agencies, including by granting the right to wiretap phones in a simplified manner.
Waters recalled that Biden “boasted” that the document was based on his proposals. The musician called the current US president a “poor guy” and said that he did not feel sorry for him at all.
“But this is the person who prepared the Patriotic Act. It was a crime, but not a military one…” Waters said.
Earlier, Waters, in an interview with CNN, accused US President Joe Biden of actions that only exacerbate the conflict in Ukraine, calling them a “grave crime.” The musician expressed bewilderment why Washington would not call on Kiev to start negotiations with Moscow, and also recalled that the problems in this region began in 2008, when NATO started talking about the admission of Ukraine and Georgia to the Alliance.
