The composition of the new administration has been approved in Hong Kong

The composition of the new Hong Kong administration has been approved by the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, RTHK radio station reported.

The composition of the administration was formed by the newly elected chief Executive of this special administrative region of the People’s Republic of China, John Li.

Eric Chen, who at various times held the post of Director of the Immigration Service, head of the Office of the Head of Hong Kong, Secretary General of the National Security Committee in Hong Kong, was appointed Chief Secretary (the second most important position) of the local administration. Eric Chen is under personal US sanctions.

On May 8, the only candidate who won the election of the head of the local administration was 64-year-old John Lee, who worked for many years in the police and law enforcement agencies. The term of office of the new leadership of Hong Kong will begin on July 1.
