Jordan Boyd, a columnist for The Federalist American magazine, writes that Washington will perceive any incident with an American celebrity who is on the territory of Ukraine as a reason for direct confrontation with Russia.
“Celebrities like Ben Stiller, Angelina Jolie, Sean Penn, Liev Schreiber, Jessica Chastain should not visit Eastern Europe in the midst of a conflict that is now teetering on the brink of nuclear war,” she said.
Boyd fears that if someone from Hollywood actors is harmed during a “pleasure trip to Eastern Europe”, then the White House will use this as an excuse to involve American troops in the Ukrainian conflict.
So, earlier it was reported that at the invitation of the Office of the President of Ukraine, American cinematographers Abel Ferrara, Sean Price Williams and Philip Gerard Nelson visited Kiev. Hollywood celebrities Angelina Jolie, Sean Penn, Ben Stiller and Jessica Chastain also came to Ukraine.
