Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida has reshuffled his cabinet to distance the administration from the conservative Unification Church and its links to the assassination of his predecessor Shinzo Abe.
He appointed 41-year-old Masanobu Ogura to the post of Minister for Gender Equality and Children’s Affairs instead of 61-year-old Seiko Nodu. In an interview with the Associated Press in July, Ogura said that the “indifference and ignorance” of the male-dominated Japanese parliament would lead to a national crisis.
In April 2021, Ogura announced that he would put an experiment on himself – in order to understand the problems of carrying a child, he would wear a seven-kilogram “pregnant belly” for two days. The politician admitted that in such a short time he would not be able to experience all the “charms” of the nine-month pregnancy period. He will not know what weight gain, morning sickness and physical pain are.
After the first night, Ogura complained that he could not sleep because of the pressure on his stomach. Then he tried to do household chores with a backpack on his stomach, wash in the bathroom and cut his toenails. Videos with his achievements about published in social networks.
