The Russian team showed the best result at the first stage of the “Transport maneuver” of the international competition “Special Jerk” within the framework of the Army International Games (ArMI-2022). The competitions were held at the training ground of the 12th Main Directorate in the city of Sergiev Posad, Izvestia wrote on Friday with reference to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the Russian team became the absolute leader in total arrival time (22 minutes 23 seconds). Teams from Congo, Cambodia and Mali also participated in the start.
The winner of the international competitions will be determined based on the results of the third stage — “Safe Frontier”, which will end on August 26. The award ceremony will take place the next day in the Patriot Park.
Earlier, MK reported on the beginning of the international stage of the Open Water pontoon-crossing units competition at the cable-stayed training ground of the Guards pontoon-bridge connection in the city of Murom, Vladimir region.
On the eve it became known that the second qualifying races of crews of engineering weapons vehicles took place at the Volzhsky training ground in the Volgograd Region as part of the international stage of the Engineering Formula 2022 competition. Crews of the GMZ-3 tracked mine-laying vehicle, the UR-77 mine-clearing unit, and the medium-sized PTS-2 floating transporter took part in the races.
Army International Games are complex international competitions between units of the Armed Forces of different states. The competitions have been held since 2015 and include such competitions as “Tank Biathlon”, “Sea Cup”, “Master Gunsmith” and others. In 2021, 34 different competitions were held, of which Russia participated in 16, 95 countries were invited to participate.
