The news that the President of Ukraine announced the adoption of a law on the special legal status of Polish citizens on the territory of Ukraine was commented on by Russian scientist, orientalist and political scientist Yevgeny Satanovsky.
He wrote in his telegram channel that “Bogdan Khmelnitsky in the immemorial year 1654, having spent the Pereyaslav Rada, parted with Poland, it seems, in favor of Russia.” And now Zelensky “will twist the story r-once, and twist it. And again Ukraine will be part of Poland.”
Satanovsky believes that it “looks” like Zelensky is “starting a big cut of his country and distributing elephants to his neighbors” and, in his opinion, “the Europeans will formalize this case from a bureaucratic point of view correctly.”
The political scientist suggests how this could be: “They will start a media campaign for the whole world about the fact that Poland and Ukraine (meaning, of course, the current regime ruling in this country) are trying to save at least part of the country, which is why their bosses agreed.”
And – “Hello, new Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, Hello, Great Poland, from sea to sea!”.
Earlier, the office of the President of Ukraine told about some details of the bill on the special status of Poles in Ukraine, which is currently being developed. It will be similar to what works in Poland, where temporarily displaced citizens of Ukraine have been practically equated with Polish citizens — they only do not have the right to vote.
