The DPR authorities provided details about the situation in the center of Donetsk, which was shelled around noon on August 23. The administration added that evacuation is being carried out, but according to preliminary data, there are no victims.

It was also reported that two men who were on Artyom Street, where the hotel damaged by the shelling is located, were wounded. According to the latest data, two women were injured near a grocery store on the street of the 25th anniversary of the Red Army. In addition, shells exploded at the intersection of Chelyuskintsev Street and Dzerzhinsky Avenue near the Interior Ministry building. A man aged about 50 died in the area.
