A message appeared on the page of the Transcarpathian regional State Administration in the social network that September 2 was declared a day of mourning in the region due to the losses of the 128th separate mountain assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The media regarded this decision as an indirect confirmation of the words of the official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry Igor Konashenkov.
Konashenkov said that the 128th OGSHBR “was defeated” by Russian troops in the Mykolaiv direction during an attempted counteroffensive.
